I am accredited by the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC) and abide by their Global Code of Ethics.
This means that I am part of a coaching/mentoring community that provides continuing professional development, and a framework for ethical practice. I consider it important that my mentees can hold me to account for excellent ethical service, and my accreditation allows this. I am qualified as a coach by Coaching Minds (you can see my certificate here), who provide EMCC-approved training. I engage in regular supervision by a senior coach, and commit to professional development that includes peer group meetings, educational events, and reading relevant literature.
Coaching/mentoring is currently not a regulated industry; any individual can choose to advertise and sell their services as a mentor or coach. However, members of such Self-Regulating Organisations (SROs) as the EMCC agree to be held to professional standards, and can lose their accreditation for breaches in conduct.
I am a member of EMCC and abide by the Global Code of Ethics.
